Installing Eclipse

Shows how to install Eclipse Luna.
To exploit RAD you need to combine an IDE such as Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA with the power of hot reloading of code as provided by Spring Loaded. You first need to make sure you have an IDE installed. This topic looks at installing Eclipse Luna.
  1. Point your browser at the Eclipse Downloads page.
  2. You need to download the Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers.

    Attention: You need to download Eclipse Luna (4.4) or newer for your platform.
  3. Extract the downloaded tar ball into a suitable location.
  4. Run the Eclipse executable.
